In this post i will summarize the procedure needed to build linux-image for raspberry pi B+ using yocto. The following 2 types of disk image will be built: The Yocto Project is a Linux Foundation workgroup, which produces tools (SDK) and processes (configuration, compilation, installation) that will enable the creation of Linux distributions for embedded software, independent of the architecture of embedded software (Raspberry Pi, i.MX6, and so on). SPS30 pin SCL (3) to Raspberry Pi pin 5 (GPIO 3 (SCL));4. SPS30 pin SEL (4) to Raspberry Pi pin 6 (Ground);5.
The Yocto Project® build system (BitBake and the OE-Core metadata) is packaged with the reference distro (called Poky). This allows you to try out the whole system. You can create a binary image of Poky as is, or alter the Poky recipes and layers for use in your customized work.
I am working with the yocto project and a Raspberry Pi 0 with wifi. I want to integrate the wpa_supplicant.conf file and copy it to the /etc/ folder. My recipe fails with reason stating that I don't
The systems are usually targeted for a particular application such as a commercial product. Yocto uses what it calls meta-layers to define the configuration.

For the practical example in this article we will be using the latest and greatest Raspberry Pi as of the moment: Raspberry Pi 4 The Yocto Project. It's not an embedded Linux Distribution, It creates a custom one for you. The Yocto Project (YP) is an open source collaboration project that helps developers create custom Linux-based systems regardless of the hardware architecture. Hacking Raspberry Pi 4 with Yocto : Introduction Intro to the Intro I recently had the opportunity of using Yocto to create an embedded Linux image for a Zynq 7045 for a project at work. Using Yocto we can create custom Linux images for embedded devices.
